Welcome to the town of Aeceso! Aeceso’s Ailments is a choose-your-own-adventure style game set in a semi-realistic medieval fantasy setting. This game has a simple story, well written characters, and four possible endings. Being assigned to work in another town, you must make a living as a physician/apothecary fresh out of training with no name whatsoever. Most patients you encounter will be walk-in patients. Diagnose and treat them to build up your reputation in town. Gather ingredients and create home-brewed potions, as they are your primary form of medication. Every decision will impact how the story ends, so be certain that what you chose is what you want. Maybe one day, you’ll get the recognition you deserve for all of your hard work.

Moving to somewhere new can be scary, but also exciting at the same time. You said you've always wanted to help others, what better way to do so than to go into medicine? Though the resident town doctor, Dr.  Abner Caraway, is on leave to take care of his own extended family temporarily, he left you some guides on potion-making as well as stored ingredients so you can run the Apothecary  in the meantime. Carve out your place in Aeceso as a potion-making physician and learn more about your new neighbors through the course of the game. Interact with the townsfolk through dialog to gain their trust and discover their struggles. Refine your craft, and soon enough everyone will know your name. Though it will take a bit to adjust to your new home and all the changes that come with it, only you can help heal the people and improve their lives. It’s time to get at it; your patients need you!
